Maintenance Worker - Part Time
                                                                                                                   
REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma and two (2) years of maintenance-related experience OR a minimum of five (5) years of maintenance-related experience.
• Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI clearances - to be paid for by the agency.
• Sensitivity to service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
• Valid driver's license.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform maintenance and repairs of easy-to-moderate difficulty to facility structures, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs and installations, while adhering to safety procedures.
• Perform maintenance and repairs to facility grounds while adhering to safety procedures.
• Make recommendations to Administration on the maintenance requirements of facilities and preventive or remedial actions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance repairs, requisitions of supplies, and safety procedures.
• Review all supply, material, and equipment purchases and rentals with Administration prior to requisitions.
• Maintain walkways and common areas to ensure safety of staff, clients, and visitors.
• Assist in scheduling and overseeing contractor’s proposals and subsequent work.
• Agree to serve in an on-call capacity for after-hours emergencies.
• Assist with quarterly facility inspections and with correction of any deficiencies.

Family Support Worker                                                                                                                        REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in social work or a related field preferred. Three years’ experience working with children and/or families preferred. RESPONSIBILITES:
Duties:

• Report to the Program Office Supervisor.
• Learn, understand, accept and implement agency policy, applicable laws and regulations.
• Manage prospective resource families, making contact and moving through the home study and approval process in a timely fashion.
• Introduce families to resource parenting and any county's policies and practices.
• Prepare and submit required reports and other documentation in a timely fashion.
• Ensure that all regulatory and agency requirements are met by potential resource parents.
• Ensure that the modules of the Child Welfare League of America PRIDE curriculum are presented frequently and conveniently to the resource parents as a part of their pre-service and ongoing training assuring that all homework is completed.
• Plan monthly internal resource parent training in accordance with the supervisor’s plan for the office.
• Attend meetings, conferences, trainings, and other agency functions, as required.
• Manage work time efficiently and flexibly, be punctual for appointments and complete assignments and reports on time. Flexibility of appointments includes the expectation of occasionally working weekends and evenings.
• Communicate fully, honestly, and clearly in a positive manner to further the agency’s purpose and promote cooperation and teamwork.
• Assist and support resource families in developing relationships which will promote a safe, welcoming environment.
• Assist and support resource families through training and consultation on the importance and expectations of working positively and cooperatively with the child's family of origin.
• Participate in and provide leadership in planning and carrying out retention activities which will promote happiness, satisfaction, and a teamwork philosophy for resource parents.
• Maintain complete, clear, comprehensive, neat, and organized family records in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Evidence courtesy, respect, appropriate concern, friendliness, and mature control of feelings and self in all interactions.
• Make appropriate written suggestions for improvement in policies and procedures, when appropriate.
• Ensure that all necessary measures are taken in preparing and supporting a family to provide for the safety and welfare of a child or children especially in times of crisis.
• Participate in the on-call rotation of after office hours and weekend coverage, being accessible as necessary to help provide assistance and support to the resource families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Arrange and facilitate icebreaker meetings as referred within 3 days of placement.
• Ensure that all relevant parties are fully informed of important client issues in a timely manner.
• Administer the resource family assessment during the in-study process and at the time of the family's annual re-evaluation.
• Ensure that a personal means of transportation is available for performance of the duties of the position. Travel is required for this position and the use of your own vehicle is necessary except in cases where round trip distances meet the agency established standard for use of a rental car.

Secretary                                                                                                       REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma, plus a minimum of three years of experience in record-keeping and secretarial work. Word processor and / or computer knowledge required. Sensitivity to service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics. RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Secretary is responsible for the office management and performance of secretarial and clerical functions within the office. This will include receiving and assisting visitors, handling telephone calls, typing reports and correspondence, filing, ordering supplies, and other related clerical duties as required or assigned.

Foster Care Case Manager                                                                                                     Requirements:

Youth Advocates are positive mentors who help guide and make a difference in teens' lives. We need direct support professionals to work with adolescent males in a 24-hour group home setting. Group Home Supervisor                                                                                                                                                     
Full-time Group Home Supervisors assist in the successful operation of our residential program that serves adolescent females, acting as positive mentors and working with our staff to help guide and make a difference in teens' lives.

Duties include ensuring that staffing patterns are within regulatory compliance and reflect the needs of the program at all times; ensuring that program routines and activities are implemented consistently and as scheduled in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations; completing staff performance evaluations; and completing other daily or situational documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of work experience with children OR a bachelor's degree and one (1) year of work experience with children.
  • Sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse clearances are required for this position and will be paid for by the agency, if necessary.
