Referral Process
When you refer a child/children to Families United Network, Inc. we will efficiently gather the information necessary to identify the best possible placement. A staff member will be available to take your call during regular office hours, and an on-call staff member can take your call after hours.
Before a child is accepted into care, three basic criteria must be met.
- The child must voluntarily accept foster care placement
- The child must not be a threat to themselves or others
- The child may not have a history of fire setting
Children placed in a Family-Based Treatment Home with Families United Network, Inc. will receive full case management services, including:
- Weekly in-person contact during first 30 days of placement
- Bi-monthly face-to-face contact beyond 30 days
- Weekly phone contact, with children and families
- Quarterly progress reports (monthly in some counties)
- Semi-annual Individual Service Plans
- Legal family involvement
- Liaison with county, school and community resources
